We are currently seeking a Senior Financial Analyst of Financial Reporting to join Mattel's Corporate Financial Reporting team at its Corporate Headquarters in El Segundo, CA. This position reports to the Manager of Financial Reporting, and will have exposure to the CFO, Corporate Controller, and other executives. Our team members must possess strong analytic capabilities, a can-do mentality, the highest ethical standards, excellent communication skills, and an ability to manage the details yet present information succinctly to senior management. In this role, you will:

Primary responsibilities include:
o Prepare SEC financial filings, including the annual report on Form 10-K, and the quarterly report on Form 10-Q, footnotes to the financial statements and Management Discussion and Analysis, and XBRL filings.
o Assist in the preparation of the monthly financial reporting package including income statements, balance sheets, and various analyses.
o Coordinate with foreign affiliates to aggregate monthly, quarterly and annual consolidated financial information.
o Proactively monitor current FASB, IASB, and SEC activities, and assist in evaluating the impact of adopting new accounting standards.
o Implement and maintain accounting policies and procedures that ensure the highest level of efficiency, while maintaining appropriate internal controls and compliance with US GAAP.
o Enhance financial reporting and streamline, refine and improve the consolidation process to assist management in business decision-making.
o Special projects and preparation of ad hoc financial reporting, as needed.

o BS/BA in Accounting required.
o CPA license required.
o Approximately 2-4 years of SEC reporting experience at a 'Big 4' public accounting firm.
o Knowledge of GAAP and SEC reporting requirements.
o Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel. Knowledge of Hyperion Enterprise and Oracle is a plus.
