Current Need

This position within the Finance group is responsible for full PL support of the Document Imaging products including assisting with monthly close, forecast, budget, strategic planning and scenario analysis.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

* Financial Analysis

Analyze and communicate the key metrics and drivers of business unit performance (against history, budget, forecast, strategic plan and competition).

* Planning Forecasting

Support the financial planning activities for the business unit in a manner that yields challenging, but achievable, strategic plans, budgets and forecasts and provides clear understanding of requirements and results.

* Modeling

Develop and maintain various financial models used to support decisions.

* Operational Support

Attend tactical and strategic meetings in support of the business unit's financial objectives.

*Special Projects - Carry out special projects as required.

NARRATIVE

1. Financial Analysis

This position is expected to provide timely, relevant and accurate analysis of the results of the business unit¿s performance against historical, budgeted, forecasted and strategic planning results to facilitate decision-making toward the achievement of the budget and strategic plan.

This requires this position to:

* Analyze Results

Analyze the key drivers and metrics vs historical performance, budgets, forecasts, and strategic plans and communicate results to leadership for decision support, plan reviews and operational reviews.

* Competitive analysis - Analyze and benchmark the results of key competitors to support decision making.

* Process Improvement

Suggest and drive process improvement initiatives related to any planning, reporting or analytic process.

2. Planning Forecasting

This position is expected to support the financial planning activities of the business unit in a manner that yields challenging, but achievable, strategic plans, budgets and forecasts and provides clear understanding of results. This requires that the position:

*Review and advise Finance Leadership on plan and forecast results based on a thorough knowledge of the targets, history, market conditions, product lifecycle, metrics, resources, initiatives and investments at the division and business unit levels.

* Support FPA team members in the execution and delivery of forecast, annual budget and strategic plans.

* Utilize the standard planning and forecasting formats.

* Utilize financial systems (TM1, SAP, etc.) to consolidate and report on plans and forecasts.

* Properly sequence and integrate with corporate planning activities.

Strategic Planning

Support the creation and implementation of the process and tools that drive the delivery and review of a timely, relevant and accurate strategic plan for the business unit that is challenging and achievable, based on market conditions, resources, specific business initiatives, and consistent with senior management and corporate expectations.

Budget - Support the creation and implementation of the process and tools that drive the delivery and review of a timely, relevant and accurate budget for the business unit that is challenging and achievable, based on market conditions, resources, specific business initiatives, and consistent with senior management and corporate expectations.

Forecast - Support the creation and implementation of the process and tools that drive the delivery and review of a timely, relevant and accurate forecast for the business unit that is challenging and achievable, based on market conditions, resources, specific business initiatives, and consistent with senior management and corporate expectations.

3. Modeling

Maintain and develop various financial models used during the planning processes and to support decision making by executive leadership, ensuring quality, accuracy and focused analytic review including:

*Strategic Planning

*Sensitivity analysis

*Product lifecycle

*Margin expansion

*Vendor negotiation

*Other analysis as necessary

4. Operational Support

This position will work with the business on operational analysis which helps support the business unit¿s financial objectives which include:

*Staffing capacity

*Implementation duration

*Staff on-boarding

*Business case reviews

*Other analysis as necessary

5. Special Projects

This position is expected to possess the skills and initiative to carry out special financial planning and/or analysis of projects of varying nature and complexity with limited supervision by clarifying objectives and assumptions or making appropriate judgments where necessary.

This may include analysis of competition, financial metrics, process improvement initiatives, investments, six-sigma, etc.

Position Description

Responsible for developing, interpreting and implementing financial concepts for financial planning and control. Performs technical analysis to determine present and future financial performance. Gathers, analyzes, prepares and summarizes recommendations for financial plans, acquisition activity, trended future requirements, operating forecasts, etc. Performs economic research and studies in the areas of rates of return, depreciations, working capital requirements, investment opportunities, investment performance, and impact of governmental requirements.

Minimum Requirements

5+ years accounting experience

Education

MBA preferred in finance or related field or equivalent experience
