Mattel is currently looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to act as a key member of the Operations Finance Team, overseeing logistics financials around the world. In this role, you will have the opportunity to learn about and gain exposure to many different areas within Mattel, including International Finance, Global Logistics, Global Procurement, Planning and others. The position reports directly into the Operations Finance organization and partners closely with Global Logistics senior management.

Purpose of the Position
The person in this position will partner with Mattel's Global Logistics organization around the world to track logistics key metrics and to identify cost savings opportunities. This person will develop an expertise of Mattel's global logistics network, operational/financial/service metrics, financial reporting and IT systems in order to provide strong financial support. The Analyst's responsibilities are split between financial consolidation and reporting, and providing analytical support for strategic logistics projects. The person filling this role will gain knowledge of Mattel's international business, exposure to senior management and the opportunity to work on cross-functional teams involving representatives from various business functions throughout all Mattel including Logistics, Global Procurement, Finance and Planning.

Responsibilities include:
- Obtain a thorough understanding of in-house business functions and global logistics network in order to analyze logistics spend and identify risks and opportunities.
- Consolidate financial spend and forecasts, analyze variances, compile reports, and facilitate reviews with senior management.
- Provide regular reports for Operations senior management scorecard.
- Aid senior management in identifying logistics opportunities and risks using key metrics.
- Lead initiatives to identify process improvements around logistics reporting and implement changes.
- Provide analytical support to special logistics projects (domestic and international).
- Perform financial analysis to influence business decisions and provide recommendations to management on projects that affect the organization.
- Maintain on-going relationships with the global logistics organization to understand the state of the business, the major changes and the key factors that impact the business.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business, Economics or Operations.
- MBA or CPA from a Big 4 Firm preferred.
- Minimum 3 years related experience.
- Excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills required; Access, Hyperion, Essbase Oracle experience a plus
- Self-starter, problem solver, strong organizational skills, collaborative mentality
- Ability to quickly gain proficiency in new/multiple financial systems
