Sr. Financial Analyst
PRIMARY PURPOSE:
The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for the preparation and communication of accurate and timely financial reports, analyses, forecasting and planning.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide accurate and timely financial analyses, communication, ongoing monitoring and evaluation for programs and teams to aid in decision-making to improve financial performance. Designs, develops and utilizes sophisticated financial models.
- Supports Companywide plan and forecast process to provide direction in decision making, to provide controls and to effectively allocate resources in support of the company's strategic goals. Provides overall support for the annual process and independently completes aspects of the planning and forecasting process such as sales, operating expenses, CapEx and Headcount. Continuously improves the reliability of planning and forecasting processes.
- Develops, prepares, and presents financial reports that include accurate, reliable, relevant, timely information to provide direction in decision making or to satisfy regulatory requirements. Identifies and creates custom reports based on business needs. Provides detailed analysis to support and explain data provided.
- Actively collaborates with multiple business partners, including Regional Sales Teams and Sr. Executive Team, to assess needs and proactively leverages subject matter expertise to identify and share short and long term opportunities for improved financial performance and strategic decision making.
- Selecting, managing and utilizing systems and tools to facilitate accurate and reliable knowledge capture, organization, tracking, and reporting of data.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Bachelor's Degree, Masters Degree preferred
Experience:
- 7 + years of progressive relevant experience including forecasting and budgeting
Skills:
- Financial analysis – can design and develop complex models, ability to draw conclusions on complex data sets
- Familiarity with, knowledge and application of business systems (ERP and Business Intelligence tools experience; with Oracle, EssBase and Hyperion a plus)
- Advanced skills with Microsoft Office (Excel PowerPoint)
- Discipline of planning, organizing and managing resources to bring about the successful completion of specific goals and objectives
- Familiarity with, knowledge and application of accounting principles such as financial statements, costing, fixed assets.
- Experience in a global, manufacturing, B2B company preferred
