Sr. Financial Analyst
- Develop, implement, and maintain sales analysis reporting that provides executive leadership with appropriate analytical tools to measure performance of the company’s business
- Develop, implement, and maintain effective sales reports to support store operations
- Support scenario modeling efforts for the development and growth of the company.
- Analyze merchandise margins and spearhead improvement initiatives.
- Assist with the budgeting process for the company.
- Compile key metrics and trends, including publishing dashboards.
- Influence key cross-functional business partners by delivering ad hoc analysis and recommendations that ensures proper focus on bottom-line results.
- Drive analysis of business performance using financial and statistical techniques to evaluate business trends and effectiveness of strategic initiatives. Identify and communicate implications on future performance.
- Manage financial system implementation projects including planning and technical coordination.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting /Finance is required, MBA a plus.
- 3+ years’ of Financial Analysis experience
- Strong analytical skills.
- Previous retail experience for multiple store, international chains, is a big plus.
- Demonstrated leadership ability
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
- General functional knowledge of financial analysis, budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Expert Excel skills (Vlookup, Pivot Tables). Knowledge of Access databases.
- Strong knowledge of IT systems and IT-based accounting systems with a background in Lawson or other ERP systems. Experience with MicroStrategy or other Business Intelligence software is a strong plus.
- Knowledge of financial reporting and the ability to write financial reports through a standard reporting tool
