Sr. Financial System Administrator AWS

Job Summary: This role will partner with AWS (Amazon Web Services) Finance to design, program, and implement regular forecast and annual planning processes and systems utilizing COGNOS TM1. Other complementary tools they will use may consist of COGNOS Contributor, COGNOS 8 Business Intelligence, Oracle, MySQL, Essbase and APPTIO. The position will be responsible for implementing, maintaining and enhancing AWS financial planning tools and processes. The individual will develop/test budgeting models, roll out and train users, develop and maintain standard and ad hoc business intelligence reports within TM1 The individual will be responsible for administration of COGNOS TM1, Business Intelligence tools and liaison with Corporate FPA, other IT / Business Intelligence teams in improving information accessibility and usability. Role will also provide infrastructure / client support for upgrades, troubleshooting and compatibility. Principle Responsibilities and Duties: Design and implement forecast models using COGNOS tools (primarily TM1) Maintain forecast and annual plan models, system access, master data, data hierarchies, and interfaces to other systems Identify and implement planning drivers to increase budget process efficiency and improve forecast accuracy Create standard report templates using COGNOS TM1 / BI for broad range of users Identify and standardize dashboard/KPI reporting Participate in business analysis and reporting Participate in and drive other financial information process improvement projects Strong understanding of financial/accounting principles Strong analytical abilities with attention to detail Proven record of financial and operating process development and implementation Ability to manage multiple projects with competing demands on resources Excellent communication skills and experience in training / instructing end users Ability to work diplomatically with business and finance users to gather accurate process and system requirements Have 7+ years of experience as an IT / Finance consultant, programmer analyst, Database Administrator, or BI data modeler Possess an in-depth understanding of dimensional data modeling Experience with COGNOS TM1 or COGNOS EP a must Experience with Oracle, COGNOS Controller, or COGNOS BI systems and report writing a plus Education: Requires a 4-year degree in Finance, Accounting, Computer Information Systems or related field MBA preferred Reference basic qualifications above.
