Sr Handler Material

Oversees the daily functions of the Receiving/Putaway/Replenishment/Return to Stock/Pharmacy Support functions Serves as a departmental contact person, answers questions related to work processes and procedures. Performs a variety of duties to include training of staff, prioritizing work, ensuring smooth workflow, error tracking and monitoring timecard discrepancies. Assists in developing schedules and coordinating work to ensure that production goals are met. Provides input to supervisor/manager as it relates to performance appraisals and/or other employment related issues. Performs any/all of the Material Handler functions as necessary.
High School diploma (or equivalent) required; advanced degree is a plus. Additional related training/education is a plus.
Minimum of one to three years previous experience in receiving, replenishment or inventory in this or similar job with knowledge of various computer systems and processes, demonstrating the qualifications as stated above is preferred.

Must have strong verbal and written communication skills to provide training and support to assigned staff. Requires leadership abilities to assist in planning, scheduling and ensuring production goals and quality goals are met. Knowledge of the equipment, processes, and methods related to receiving and inventory control, as well as general knowledge of mail services pharmacy operations. Computer experience (i.e. Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, etc.) required. Ability to lift up and/or pull drug carts weighing up to 55 pounds. Ability to reach, twist, turn, bend, stoop and walk. Ability to stand for length of shift. Ability to read, write, speak and understand English. Good verbal and written communication skills along with organizational skills in order to train and lead employees.
