Sr. Hardware Engineer Job in San Jose 95134, California US

In this role, you will work with the engineering team on drivetrain electronics development. This will include:

                  Design and verification of digital, analog, mixed signal, and power electronics products

                  Schematic creation

                  Pcb layout supervision

                  CPLD Design using Verilog

                  Board level debug and remediation

                  Generate technical documentation such as specifications, design guidelines, application notes, and bills of materials

                  Testing using diagnostics and functional applications.

Requirements

                  Experience with modern test equipment including oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, signal generators.

                  Experience with at least one schematic capture tool (OrCAD Preferred)

                  CPLD / FPGA Design experience using Verilog or VHDL

                  Ability to rapidly learn and apply new skills.

                  Knowledge of embedded microcontroller design

                  Experience in electronic product design including digital and low-voltage analog specialties

                  Experience debugging and diagnosing component level problems in a lab environment.

                  Bachelor of Science or higher in Electrical Engineering or a related area.

                  Ability to interface with other disciplines, including software and mechanical engineering

                  Excellent written and verbal communications skills

Desirable

                  Power electronics development experience

                  Knowledge of vehicle networking protocols: CAN, LIN

                Vehicle electronics development experience
Knowledge of signal integrity, EMC, and regulatory compliance
