This position manages complex, health education services needs assessments, develops implements region wide integration of health education programs, services, systems that may bridge multiple departments or facilities, supervises instructors staff. In addition, it also develops monitors project budgets. Essential Functions: - Manages conducts complex needs assessments, promoting continuum of care - Designs, implements, evaluates single multiple session, multiple facility or region wide health education programs, group visits, protocols, standards, training, providing quality cost-effective health education services - Manages a variety of health education services, including establishing effective referral publicity systems, monitoring quality documentation, providing scheduling logistical support, facilitating use of community services - Recruits, hires, evaluates, supervises instructors (internal or external), health education staff, /or consultants - May provide group or one-to-one health education services to members the community - Develops monitors project budgets - Ensures goals, timelines, expenditures are on target - Prepares grants, proposals, financial reports as required - Manages multi-department, entity, vendor, /or regional partnerships negotiates effective health education services system wide - Develops, recommends, reviews high quality, culturally appropriate, written, audio-visual health education materials integrating within the clinical setting - Specializes in a specific area of health education (e.g., HIV, nutrition, behavioral health, chronic disease, health promotion), as required - Consults w/ physicians staff to promote integrate high quality health education services in the clinical setting participates in establishing department strategic goals priorities Requirements
