The Sr. Human Resources Manager reports to the Director, Human Resources, Mechanical Operations and Engines. The successful candidate for this position will provide a broad range of human resources services in support of business objectives and human resource initiatives for the Mechanical Operations organization within Aerospace Engineering and Technology.
The position is accountable for partnering with business and functional leaders as well as with the HR organizations and HR COEs (Center of Excellence) to:
- Provide input to overall business strategy as part of leadership team and to provide a broad range of human resources services in support of business objectives, strategic goals human resource initiatives for Engineering Operations organization.
- Proactively liaise with the Phoenix leadership teams and the Integrated Supply Chain Leadership Teams and Employees, COEs and HR Services to deliver compensation, organizational development, workforce planning, deployment, and retention services and strategies to address the current and future needs of the business while ensuring a diverse and globally oriented workforce.
- Conduct organization assessments, respond to employee feedback, and develop action plans along with client leaders to drive employee engagement and Positive Employees Relations (PER).
- Coach leaders on talent management, and performance differentiation to drive a culture of performance, results and positive employee relations.
- Drive the coordination and completion of the Spring and Fall Management Resource Review (MRR) and associated Talent Calibration activities.
- Lead special projects as assigned related to Global Honeywell Contingent Labor training for HR, census management and Talent Management council.
- Consult with leadership and management to plan effective human resources utilization and organizational alignment, serve as an organizational consultant to managers, employees, and outside agencies concerning HR related issues.
- Work with HR and business partners as staffing focal point for engineering, to proactively develop and execute recruitment strategies for professional engineering positions and university relations talent.
- Develop and maintain pipeline talent base through campus activities, networking, agency partnerships, direct sourcing, referrals, etc.
- Own and execute census management, and requisition efficacy.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required with emphasis in Business, HR, Employment Relations, Organizational Development or technical discipline.
- Minimum of six years Human Resource generalist experience across client groups, including manufacturing experience.
Additional Qualifications:
- Experience in both union and non-union manufacturing facilities
- Demonstrated ability to positively influence others, particularly leadership development and coaching
- Strong business acumen
- Strong analytical skills
- Ability to deal tactfully and confidently with internal and external customers
- Strong bias for action, a keen sense of urgency and the ability to drive results in a highly matrixed organization
- Ability to use strong influencing skills to accomplish work for this client group located at other sites
- Demonstrated ability to facilitate organizational change and foster linkage between business objectives and human resources activities.
- Ability to create and maintain a positive Employee Relations environment throughout complex and changing situations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
