Sr. Information Assurance Officer I

SUMMARY-Senior Level Information Assurance Officer II

Raytheon IIS is seeking a Senior Level Information Assurance Officer II (IAO) to support our IIS Team Program that provides oversight, policy and procedures development, and all related functions to identify the risks of operating client systems in compliance with DCID 6/3 on all information stores, systems and networks. The ISS Team maintains, operates, manages, and proposes changes to the clients Information System Security Program at all levels of technical and administrative detail. ISS consolidates functionality for support in training, Certification and Accreditation (CA), security audits, CA reports and includes an expert IAO staff to assess the security of the system, audit for compliance to DCID, track security violations, and monitor the health of the system.

REQUIRED SKILL SETS:

Minimum 3+-years experience related to required technical knowledge areas:

  • Integration of information systems into a physical security environment; System methodologies, such as: client server, web hosting, web content servers, policy servers, directory servers, firewalls, WAN, MAN, LAN, switches, and routers.

  • Detecting and preventing computer security compromises

  • Certification and Accreditation requirements and processes

  • Configuration management; system maintenance; and integration testing

  • Prevention and or negation of malicious code

  • Understanding of COTS tools that scan at the physical layer of all media types including but not limited to: (CDs, hard drives, floppies and Zip/Jazz).

  • DCID 6/3 Knowledge

  • Forensics and evidentiary preservation of translating technical information into comprehendible language

  • Computer operating systems to include but not limited to: (Microsoft Windows 95, 98, NT, 2000 and XP and UNIX)

  • Strong ability to elicit, articulate and document information in a well organized manner.

  • Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Knowledge of applicable policies, procedures and operating instructions.

  • Qualified applicants WILL be subject to a security investigation and must meet minimum requirements for access to classified information. The qualified candidate MUST be of US Citizenship to support on an US Government Contract and currently possess an Active TS/SCI security clearance, to be considered.

    Required Education Certifications:

  • BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Computer Systems Engineering or related discipline. Equivalent experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.

    DESIRED SKILL SETS:

  • Current or the ability to obtain a DODI 8570.1-M Compliance at IAM Level I (such as, CompTIA Security+, GSEC, etc.), within 6 months of accepting the position.
