REMOTE/VIRTUAL OPPORTUNITY AVAILABLE Job Title : Senior Information Security Assessor Job Objective : The Senior Information Security Assessor works for the Information Security Services group and is responsible for conducting security risk and vulnerability assessments, and performing ongoing testing of Information Technology (IT) security controls in support of ACSs IT Risk Management program and contractual requirements for ACSs Fortune 500 clients. The Security Assessor must have experience in evaluating the existence and effectiveness of IT security controls and processes, and be able to consult with business managers on risk assessment, gap analysis and remediation planning. The Security Assessor must be able to develop detailed documentation of testing and evaluation activity in order to arrive at logical and comprehensive conclusions and recommendations. Candidate must be able to accommodate travel between 40-60% within the continental US. Some international travel may be required. Requirements The Security Assessor is responsible for the execution of Information Security Risk Assessment process in support of internal and client facing operations. The following sections outline the requirements and responsibilities for the candidate: Minimum 5 years experience as an IT Security Assessor or similar experience in a corporate environment. Degree in computer science, IT, or 7 years related experience in the IT field. Ability to function independently, or as a team member, and plan, execute and document security assessments, tests and evaluations. Ability to perform detailed analysis of in-place technical and non-technical security controls protecting information and information assets. A solid understanding of security principles and best practice frameworks (eg ISO, PCI DSS, NIST). A detailed knowledge of networking and internetworking (e.g. routing, switching etc.), computer and network device operating systems (e.g. Windows, Unix, Linux, IOS etc.), firewalls, IDS/IPS and general security engineering concepts. Knowledge of security tools including anti-virus, vulnerability scanners, endpoint protection and auditing software. Knowledge of computer and network security incident/event auditing and analysis. Knowledge of vulnerability research methodologies and sources. Knowledge of physical access control procedures and technologies. Detail-oriented with excellent documentation skills using Microsoft Office tools Ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities. Possess strong written and verbal communications skills. Technical or professional certification such as Certified Information System Auditor (CISA), Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP), Global System Network Auditor (GSNA) is a plus.
