Sr. Information Technology Analyst recruitment
The person will research and recommend industry best practices and technology strategy for MSCS.
Job Responsibilities:
• Work directly with MSCS management team taking direction regarding priorities, requirements and strategy.
• Take a consultative approach to evaluating inefficiencies, making recommendations, and driving technology solutions.
• The individual must be well-organized, be able to work independently, and have strong ability to effectively multi-task and problem-solve.
• Manage business team technology direction and expectations.
• Manage vendors and internal IT staff who provide MSCS applications/support by doing the following:
- Provide clear requirement specifications.
- Plan activities associated to project rollouts, enhancement and version releases.
- Prepare test scenarios, and user-documentation.
- Perform and coordinate User Acceptance Testing.
- Coordinate stakeholder signoffs on all project deliverables.
- Responsible for application issue management, escalation and communication procedures.
• Participate on behalf of MSCS on the Technology Steering Council and Business Continuity Council.
• Be available to implement, monitor, and test system changes that occur after hours and on weekends.
• Document and test detailed procedures for failover and disaster recovery of key applications.
• Actively seek to stay informed on industry trends and IT developments.
Job Requirements Experience:
• Comprehensive understanding of IT systems, system dependencies, and data flows across the investment management business especially within Marketing, Sales and Client Service including CRM, Content Management, Attribution and Reporting applications.
• Significant knowledge of buy-side investment management systems, data, and processes.
• Five to seven years experience in a buy-side investment management firm, preferably in Marketing, Sales, Client Service support.
• Strong experience in technology solution analysis, design, development, testing, debugging and implementation, interacting with department managers, subject matter experts, and end-users.
• Able to organize, lead, and manage user working groups.
• Ability to develop, communicate, and execute project plans.
• Exceptional communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
• Proven team building and leadership skills.
• Strong ability to plan ahead, anticipate issues and react proactively.
• Knowledge of all phases of system development life cycle, including modeling and development of business processes through implementation, configuration, custom scripting and application development.
• Experience with writing SQL, and complex data analysis.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project and Visio.
• Understanding of Windows desktop, server operating systems, client-server architectures, and web application architectures.
• Must be self-motivated and detail-oriented.
• Understanding of auditing controls and compliance requirements

Other Duties:
- Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity planning. Participate in semi-annual DR tests (Saturday and Sunday).
- Support for corporate and regulatory audits.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education:
- BS/BA degree in Information Management Systems, Marketing or Finance or equivalent experience.
