Sr. Infrastructure Engineer – Cloud

As the Senior Infrastructure Engineer, you will be a lead technical resource on the Network Operations team. You will be responsible for projects (full life cycle), systems solution engineering, capacity planning, monitoring, performance optimization, daily maintenance tasks and reporting. You will work closely with the software development team.  This position requires an ability to interact and coordinate with several different development and Operations teams within IT and Product Development.

 

Required Skills And Experience:  

Ø  Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (or equivalent experience)

Ø  4+ years experience supporting medium to large-scale IT infrastructures

Ø  8+ years experience designing, implementing and supporting Microsoft technology environments

Ø  Experience designing, implementing and supporting Software as a Service architectures is desired

Ø  Direct experience implementing and supporting highly scalable and fault tolerant web based application environments

Ø  Ability to provide hands on maintenance, installation, support and troubleshooting of data networking and Intel server technology

Ø  Performance tuning skills at all layers of the application architecture from the database up through the load balancers

Ø  Ability to provide input and guidance to senior management necessary to meet the strategic long-term goals relative to technology direction

 

Ø  Experience with Amazon Web Services (EC2, S3, EBS)

Ø  Experience with information technology security solutions and practices

Ø  Experience with data center facilities, design, implementation and management

Ø  Experience with automated network and systems monitoring and alerting solutions

Ø  Experience with designing, implementing, and testing disaster recovery and business continuity plans

Ø  Experience with implementation and support of virtualization technologies (e.g. VMWare, SAN, etc)
