Sr. IT Business Analyst (Broad understanding of Financial Asset Classes – Front Office) Data Mapping recruitment

Key Accountabilities:

Liaising with Business Analysts from consumer and source system IT teams alike, the OTIS Business Systems Analyst will understand Business Requirements and determine the Systems Requirements and Specifications necessary for the development of technology solutions. Specifically this includes:
• Document data requirements, including entities, attributes, relationships and their definitions.
• Document source system trade life cycles and associated business rules.
• Participate in the data modeling of product types and map respective source system data
• Document functional and non-functional system requirements and specifications for capturing, validating, enriching, normalizing, persisting and publishing source system data.
• Create test strategies, plans and cases, and execute functional, regression and stress testing.
• Assist with problem support and resolution.

Knowledge / Experience:

• Minimum of ten years experience developing Systems Requirements and Specifications, of which 2 years in Financial Capital Markets.
• Strong knowledge of Capital Markets, its business processes and terminology.
• Broad understanding of Financial Asset Classes and their respective Product Types.
• Proven experience analyzing and mapping data.
• Good understanding of data modeling and relational database systems, and proficiency developing SQL queries; familiarity with data warehousing.
• Experience working with and understanding XML, and familiarity with FpML.
• Proven participation in the entire System Development Life Cycle, from inception to implementation; understanding of the Business Systems Analyst’s role.
• Solid understanding of formal testing and experience designing and executing tests; experience with test automation tools.
• Knowledge of IIBA and BABOK
• Strong problem solving skills and ability to decompose problems and identify root cause; strong ability to design solutions that address root cause.
• Ability to effectively multi-task while maintaining high quality standards and attention to detail.
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills, and proven ability to work with peers and executives alike.
