Coordinating the development of detailed cost and schedule estimates for the project Developing and maintaining a detailed project Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) Identifying, categorizing, and averting project risks (risk management) Establishing a project baseline Identifying and managing the critical path activities on the project WBS Tracking percent complete for project activities Tracking actual hours and cost expended on project activities Maintaining a current forecast of remaining hours/cost for project activities Comparing actual and forecasted performance against the project baseline and performing variance analysis to understand the root cause of deviations Preparing documentation required to make capital purchases Identifying, tracking, and escalating project issues Controlling changes to the project scope and baseline Ensuring the generation of appropriate project documentation Developing post-deployment stabilization plans Identifying and coordinating tools required for project execution (e.g. test landscapes) Reporting status to project stakeholders and e-Business management Preparing and delivering formal project reviews Coordinating team activities and ensuring that all team members understand their role and responsibilities on the project Performing all activities in accordance with e-Business and Rockwell Collins policies and procedures Required Experience/Skills: Experience managing (either as a PM or a system admin) IT infrastructure deployment projects is a plus but not required. While a significant amount of business travel is not expected, the candidate may be required to make a few domestic and/or international business trips each year. Experience using the Microsoft Office tool suite (Word, Power Point, Excel, Microsoft project). Excellent verbal and written communication skills and be a "team player" who works for win-win solutions. Natural leader who is skilled at managing projects in a dynamic, growing environment. Program Management Institute (PMI) certification is a plus but is not required. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in appropriate discipline, and four years of related experience, or, in the absence of a bachelor's degree, ten years of related experience.
