Large Consumer Products company in NYC needs:
Sr. Manager, Corporate Office Services
- At least 10+ years of progressive experience in Office Services or Corporate Services
- Ideally has experience in transforming and building a team, reengineering processes, identifying and managing vendors / out-sourced engagements, etc.
- Substantial experience dealing with outside vendors and can effectively source, negotiate, and manage external relationships
- Must have experience with both union and non-union service providers
- 7 – 10 years of strong management experience.
The Sr. Manager, Corporate Office Services is responsible for a range of centralized support services within the General Affairs Division, with a focus on providing innovative, creative and cost efficient ways to increase customer satisfaction and overall quality of service.
These centralized functions include :
Reception/Switchboard, Mailroom, Shipping/Receiving, Transportation/Fleet, Food Service Operations, and Centralized Storage.
With a planned expansion and a company undergoing growth and transformation, will also be responsible for ensuring that the team is designed and built to meet comapny's evolving needs at the headquarters location. This may include significant changes to the team’s design, hiring and firing FTEs, the selection and addition of external service providers, and future expansions.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure that the various functional areas within this scope are all running efficiently and effectively.
- Provide strategic direction to develop a quality organization and management approach to Office Services
- Design and execute plans for comapny's future headquarters office services needs, including establishing related contracts for goods and services as required.
- Engage and interface with key stakeholders of the firm to ensure that the plans and policies related to support services mesh with the overall strategy and objectives of the firm.
- Develop a best practices approach to services provided, including establishment of metrics/kpi’s and associated benchmarks
- Collaborate with senior management to establish standards and guidelines for the services performed by Office Services. Ensures established guidelines are followed within the team.
- Establish individual/team goals with associates to support business objectives.
- Proactively reviews team processes and work product for consistency, to identify risk, assure best practices and ensure alignment with current business needs.
- Develop and manage operating and capital budgets
- Monitors spending in accordance with company objectives
- Manage and evaluate exempt and non-exempt direct reports, as well as onsite service providers and external vendors.
- Participate in the interview process and selection of new team members; recommend salary increases, transfers, and promotions for staff; appropriately applies Human Resources guidelines and procedures
Qualifications:
- At least 10+ years of progressive experience in Office Services or Corporate Services
- Ideally has experience in transforming and building a team, reengineering processes, identifying and managing vendors / out-sourced engagements, etc.
- Substantial experience dealing with outside vendors and can effectively source, negotiate, and manage external relationships
- Must have experience with both union and non-union service providers
- This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related fields
- 7 – 10 years of strong management experience.
- Strong pc skills, comfortable using technology to support approach and execution of responsibilities
- Possesses and applies significant subject matter expertise in the range of support services in scope
- Extremely customer-focused; quickly establishes oneself as an approachable and valuable resource for support needs
- Ensures the appropriate level of service is effectively and efficiently delivered, based on the business need.
- Manages performance and development of each team member
- Demonstrates strong critical thinking and analytical skills. Capable of quickly understanding the high-level business goals and the current state, identifying gaps between them, and then being creative and resourceful to quickly get to a place of excellence
Base salary to 125K
