Position Summary:
The Sr. Manager of Medicare position is responsible for the overall management and oversight of the Benefit Analyst and Policy team. The business relies heavily on ensuring that all federal guidelines are followed and that company policies are reflective of those guidelines. We are looking for a strong leader to develop a strategic plan for the unit that ensures compliance with Medicare rules and regulations, driving policy change where appropriate, and creating avenues by which internal and external customers have the information needed to convey accurate and consistent messaging.
General Responsibilities:
Sr. Manager of Medicare manages all aspects of planning, development and delivery of the team’s core goals. This position will be responsible for developing a unit in the company that is utilized to its fullest as the Medicare subject matter experts and overall health plan knowledge resources. This position will chair workgroups, committees and training sessions, working closely with management across the company. Ensuring policies and procedures follow all rules and regulations and that documentation and communications to the provider/vendor community are in place.
Required Education Work Experience:
- 4-year degree in Health Care Administration, Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field and/or equivalent experience.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Knowledge and understanding of Medicare rules and regulations is a must.
- Must have the ability to manage a team by demonstrating open lines of communication and quality and timeliness.
- Experience working with executives, marketing/communications professionals, and other functional areas within a corporation, including designers, writers, Legal, HR, Finance, agencies, etc.
- Experience using internal networking or collaboration tools and technologies, such as SharePoint.
