Primary Job Responsibilities The North America Customer Engagement team is organized around segments and channels. The Online Marketing channel team has the responsibility of driving the marketing to customers through our website and through Internet Marketing (search and display) channels. As a member of the leadership team of the Online Marketing channel team, you will report in to the head of the channel (Sr. Director, Online Marketing), and will lead the analytics function for the channel. We operate with the belief that Marketing is more science than art, and the key to success in Marketing is to harness the insight that is hidden in our data, and to use it to guide our programs and learning efforts in a thoughtful manner. As a high-volume digital business, we have a massive amount of data available about our business and your role is to glean the most helpful insights from that data and to convert it into useful action. Your peers will be the leaders of Merchant Website Marketing, Consumer Website Marketing and Internet Marketing functions. They rely on you to be their key thought partner and to push the envelope on business thinking and results by bringing to bear key information and insights. You will enable our highly-skilled marketers to guide prospective and current customers in choosing our offerings in a manner that will inspire advocacy. Your key purpose is to use Analytics to drive the Online Marketing team to be data and insight-rich, learning driven, and impactful in changing customer behavior to PayPal?s advantage. Your day to day responsibilities will include: Guide and execute the learning agenda of each of the Online Marketing channel teams (Consumer Website, Merchant Website, Internet Marketing) Help define and refine the test plans of each of the channel teams Define, refine and regularly produce dashboards that indicate how we are performing in each component of the business Enable superior execution of Marketing campaigns using rigorous analytics: exploratory analyses, consultation, optimal set up, KPI definition, dashboards, optimization, performance analysis, recommendation wrap-up Conduct ad-hoc analyses and present results to identify areas of business opportunity Partner with channel teams to create business case for relevant investment into those opportunities Model the drivers of customer profitability and campaign ROI Work with technical teams to push recurring reports into production and enable new data sources needed Be an active member of the NACE Analytic community and further the strategic thinking of the entire team. Collaborate with other analytical teams in the company to further mutual capabilities Manage at least 1 junior analyst on staff (plus manage the work of Analytics consultants provided by the analytics outsourcing company we work with) to aid you in the above responsibilities as well as grow and develop their skills
