The Senior Engineering Manager is responsible for ensuring the financial and operational performance of multiple accounts within the Application Engineering Department.  This role is responsible for the overall quality, on time delivery and profitability of application designs. This position is significantly involved with oversight and management of engineering personnel and application engineering projects.
 

 
Principal Accountabilities
1.    Provides effective leadership to the Application Engineering group aligned to the business strategy; Invensys Values and Competencies
2.    Establishes and maintains positive relationships with customers (internal and external)
3.    Develops staff to ensure technical, project management, and financial skills are leveraged throughout the group to support business growth
4.    Provides financial oversight and reports to the VP, Engineering on financial targets; drives for success on margins and gross profit
5.    Coordinates with Sales and Marketing and Research and Development to ensure customer needs are met and new products are delivered to the market based on market feedback

1.    Achieving operational objectives for on time delivery, quality and labor utilization.
2.    Achieving financial objectives in sales, orders, cash collection and profits
3.    Proactively assess and develop employees; ensuring successful completion of all performance related processes on time and with a high degree of quality

Essential Competencies:
Technical Competencies: 
·         Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field and;
·         Ten (10) years experience in Railway Signalling industry and;
·         Three (3) years spent in an engineering management role
