Yahoo!’s CIO organization is responsible for developing and maintaining an integrated, scalable IT infrastructure and applications that directly enable employee productivity, operational efficiencies and better management insights. The CIO organization is strategically aligned, with business partners across Yahoo! including Finance, HR, Customer Care, Engineering, Products and other GA groups to deliver application enabled business process solutions and management reporting platforms.
As a part of the CIO organization, HR Technology team partners with HR to design, implement and support all HR applications enabling workforce management, compensation, talent acquisition and talent management business processes along with employee productivity systems and collaboration tools.
Job Description
Working within the HR Technology organization, Senior Manager of Talent Management Systems will be responsible for implementing and supporting technology solutions enabling Yahoo’s Performance, Succession, and Career Development business processes. The primary focus for this position will be managing and optimizing Yahoo!’s Talent Management Systems (SuccessFactors). The position will manage business system analysts and technical support team members and will partner closely with relevant HR business process owners, application developers and vendors.
Responsibilities:
· Work with HR business process owners and other relevant stakeholders to translate business requirements into technology solutions related to talent management and learning systems
· Responsible for managing support, enhancements and optimization of existing Talent platform (SuccessFactors). Partners with relevant HR Business Process Owners to prioritize and implement enhancements. Ensures Service Level Agreements with relevant stakeholders.
· Responsible for vendor management including leading negotiations and agreements, regularly reviewing contracts and appropriately engaging relevant HR Business Process Owners. Primary day to day point of contact for vendor interactions and issues resolution;
· Partners with HR and leads technical software assessment/selection including evaluation of technical features and providing related technical cost inputs
· Owns Business System Analysis, system configurations, functional and technical specifications for talent management and learning management systems
· Responsible for technical project management, acting as a Technical Lead on most global projects
· Responsible for supporting ongoing core performance and talent management programs including Year End Review and Reward and Organizational and Talent Review
· Partners with global internal development and vendor teams to develop/enhance solutions and integrations
· Drives quality assurance and system integration testing
· Ensures adherence to change control guidelines
· Manages releases
· Provides relevant systems training to HR business process owners
· Partners with operations, security and infrastructure teams to ensure adherence to Yahoo! standards
· Coaches, mentors team members and follows Yahoo! people management processes
Minimum Job Qualifications:
- Prior experience with major Performance and Succession Management applications including SuccessFactors, Peoplesoft, Oracle
- Prior technical experience in HR systems design, development, integration and deployment
- Solid understanding of database architecture, web architecture, integration methods and SDLC
- Knowledge of HR Talent Management market space and trends
- Proven track record selecting and implementing large scale Talent Management systems
- Domain expertise and functional knowledge in performance management, development planning, and succession planning
- Prior project management experience
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills including ability to present to all levels of the organization
- Ability to work across functional and geographical boundaries and influence without formal authority
- Ability to work well with others and build and maintain productive internal and external relationships
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously as well as manage operational responsibilities
- Prior experience working with global, multi-cultural and virtual teams
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Ability to embrace and manage change
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Preferable Job Qualifications:
- 10+ years experience in HR Technology roles including systems analysis, software development, implementation and technical project management
- 5+ years leading large scale global projects
- 5+ years experience managing team
- Knowledge of Agile Software Development Methodology
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/MIS/HR/Business Administration or relate discipline
- Relevant certifications in MIS, project management, business analysis or other related discipline
- Experience in software or internet service industry
