As Sr. Manager, WebStore/Mobile Technology, you will lead a team of e-commerce software developers responsible for the design, development deployment of world class web and mobile applications.
This position reports to the Sr. Director, Technology Services, E-Commerce Technology Business, GSI Commerce.
The ideal candidate for this leadership position will have more than 8 years of professional experience leading and managing software development teams. A background working in a high transaction online environment is required. A background working with ecommerce technologies and/or ecommerce related packaged software is a strong plus.
The candidate will have a successful history of building and leading large teams and a sustained track record of delivering high-quality solutions on-time and on-budget. The candidate will be responsible for staffing, training, and mentoring his/her team. . He/she must demonstrate a strong competency in creating an environment that fosters accountability, quality, commitment, growth, and innovation. In addition to leading his/her team, the candidate must be experienced in successfully driving cross departmental initiatives. Candidate must have extensive client facing experience.

BS degree, preferably in a Computer Science or related fields. Advanced Degree a plus.
Must have 10+ years significant experience in full-lifecycle, large-scale software development
Must have 8+ years managing technical project teams
Must have 5+ years significant experience in web application development, with hands-on technology experience as a software developer or software engineer
Must have 3+ years in a managerial role with direct report responsibilities
Must have 3+ years in client facing roles
Must have experience with high-transaction volume 24X7 availability production environment
Must have experience with a variety of development methodologies and mature understanding of the strengths and weaknesses of each.
Must have experience with enterprise software architecture and Domain Driven Design, and development technologies including J2EE, Java and SQL databases
Superior verbal, written interpersonal communication skills with both technical non-technical audiences.
Experience with Project Management Tools is a plus.
Experience within the ecommerce domain is a plus.
