About the Job 

The Senior Market Research Consultant is responsible for delivering research insights in support of Key's Marketing and Segment Teams. The Senior Market Research Consultant will function as a consultant to the dedicated segment(s) and will collaborate with clients to understand the business needs, then develop and execute appropriate research solutions.  The Senior Market Research Consultant will be highly skilled in both quantitative and qualitative primary research and possess the skills to turn data and analysis into actionable recommendations; working in a collaborative environment; and applying research methods and statistical techniques in developing research and marketing solutions.

 

Essential Job Functions 

Project Management: 

Independently lead qualitative and quantitative research projects from inception through presentation including projects in the areas of client/non-client behaviors, product concepts, brand research, satisfaction studies, and attitude and usage studies

·         Design research plans

·         Create research tools such as screener, discussion guide, and questionnaire.  Program survey if we’re fielding it.  Administer survey if needed.

·         Work with DBM to obtain list if needed

·         Request and review proposals to choose most appropriate research supplier for a project.  Manage the entire vendor relationship from creation of tools to fielding to reporting.  Drive the entire process.

·         Analyze data using SPSS, write report,  create insights and actions, and present findings

 

Analysis:

·         Utilize SPSS and statistical knowledge to conduct quantitative analysis

·         Develop themes from qualitative research

·         Synthesize all information together to present a story rather than just data.  Determine what is important and relevant to end-user. 

·         Pull together these insights and determine associated actions 

 

Relationships:

·         Work with internal partners to determine research needs and independently design appropriate research solutions to meet those needs. 

·         Understand the business including key players, goals and objectives and important current events impacting the business

·         Provide training for the Research Project Managers on an as needed basis

 

Required Qualifications 

·         Bachelor Degree required; Master Degree in Market Research related field preferred

·         5+ years market research experience managing primary research projects from inception through presentation  

·         Advanced skills using  Microsoft Office, SPSS or another statistical software package  

·         Solid analytical and problem solving abilities  

·         Proven ability to independently create concise, actionable research reports

·         Ability to independently lead and manage market research projects from inception through presentation.

·         Exceptional presentation skills
