The mission of the US Central Marketing Organization is to create and deliver best-in-class direct marketing communications that drive results, innovation, and customer/partner connection in order to sell more Microsoft software in the US market. In this role, the Sr. Marketing Communications Manager is responsible for defining, planning and implementing direct response advertising strategy and execution in support of US Subsidiary business goals. In this capacity, the Sr. Marketing Communications Manager will be tasked with building and delivering direct response campaigns aligned against business priorities and revenue goals. This position is based in Bellevue, WA. Specific Responsibilities include: - Development of direct response campaigns and programs to drive results against subsidiary revenue, lead generation and digital engagement metrics. Campaigns and Programs will include the development of audience targeting strategy, contact plans, creative development, vehicle and media mix recommendation, and forecasting and reporting results, leveraging the following marketing communications vehicles/channels: - Direct mail, e-mail - Digital advertising, search engine marketing and search engine optimization - Media planning for direct response - Emerging media, social media, word of mouth, mobile - Management of assigned agency, including: - Day-to-day management of agency relationships with agency account team - Management of agency retainer utilization - Responsibility for tracking and monitoring campaign spend, invoicing and accruals against forecast - Drive RFP process for specialty approved vendors for an assigned campaign - Driving best practices on assigned campaigns: - Development of testing framework within campaign activities; execution of framework and responsibility for building recommendations and optimization based on testing outcomes - Monitoring of campaign performance; develop analysis based on campaign performance and recommendations for optimization and future enhancements - Integration with broader USCMO team to align efforts as part of cross-subsidiary campaigns - Publish results for use in monthly business review - Presentations to USCMO management and other senior level managers in the US Subsidiary summarizing campaign strategy and campaign impact on the business Ideal candidate will have: - 7-12 years of related experience in marketing communications disciplines, such as direct marketing, relationship marketing, direct response advertising, social media, and digital marketing - Strong understanding of direct response fundamentals and experience in direct response campaign execution - Experience with paid, owned and earned media planning and execution, including e-mail and social - Experience managing agency relationships - Ability to understand marketing data and analysis and develop campaign recommendations and optimizations from these insights - Ability to work cross-group and drive results across external and internal constituents - Experience developing and delivering marketing plans to senior management - Direct response agency experience preferred - Bachelor's degree required, MBA preferred MKG:BMO
