As a Senior Consultant to the VP, Analytics and Reporting for our client, you will serve as a decision-making support expert and Advisor to Marketing and Sales department, and related “business units”, as applicable, to ensure that strategies and business objectives are supported with sound analytics. In addition, this position will use industry expertise, including external and internal data sources, to enhance executive decision-making capabilities, improve functional performance and strategy execution.
Responsibilities include:
- Attend various Marketing and Sales staff meetings, strategy and planning meetings of related “business units” and other meetings with key stakeholders to provide analytical leadership and industry expertise to the departments.
- With respect to related Marketing and Sales tasks and jobs, coordinates and oversees the efforts of analyst and production team members, and is responsible for articulating business needs and working in conjunction with the relevant business units to facilitate requirements-gathering / documentation.
- Review, synthesize and determine what the data and statistics reveal, and to develop recommended actions necessary to achieve desired results.
- Serves as hands-on subject matter expert contributing to robust analytic and reporting methods and designs.
- Responsible for the analytics and statistical needs related to client presentations, including new and existing groups.
- Plays a lead role in the development and execution of various marketing and sales approaches with respect to the best use of information, findings from analytics, compilation of statistics from various sources, etc. to build positive client messaging.
- Attends industry conferences and events, both local and national, to maintain a contemporary awareness of industry data sources, populations statistics and any other marketing and sales related informational sources that will enhance strategy
development and decision-making.
Experience:
- Prefer a Master's Degree in business administration, with an extensive track record of success in sales and marketing, a minimum of 10 years' of related experience. Experience in the health care industry is a plus.
- Demonstrated experience in strong analytic thinking.
- Demonstrated project management skills involving multiple departments.
- Track record of establishing and maintaining strong customer relationships.
- In depth knowledge of marketing and sales strategies and approaches and related analytical and statistical applications to support decision-making
- Ability to communicate effectively in both written and oral form on general as well as complex subject matter in order to reach consensus on issues at the executive level.
- Familiarity with software used for both analytic and reporting functions such as Crystal, Business Objects and Microsoft Office (i.e., Word, Access and Excel).
- Ability to analyze problems and issues efficiently, determine the impact in the context of the matter being evaluated and develop effective business solutions.
- Ability to act as a liaison and recommend solutions to a variety of departments, as well as other Plans and other external business partners.
