Sr Measurement Analyst
· Responsible for reviewing, analyzing and editing daily and hourly measurement related data in the CMS Measurement System and in the new Standard Measurement System (when implemented) to ensure timely and accurate measurement data for internal and external customers.
· Serves as a point of customer contact for custody transfer gas volumes, gas quality data and gas measurement requirements
· Responds to complex and non-routine customer questions and concerns on measurement related matters and provides proper feedback for their work group and coordinates with other work groups or departments as necessary to bring satisfaction to the customer.
· Determines the course of action required to comply with Company Measurement Policy, FERC Policy and other regulatory policy. Proactively identifies all areas impacted, provides solutions, and implements changes before they become issues.
· Will utilize knowledge of the business to help others in their work group or in other work groups to evaluate existing processes, incorporate enhancements, or automate manual processes.
· Analyzes electronic flow and gas quality information
· Maintains meter/station data and validation rules within the gas measurement system
· Audits third party volume gas quality, electronic flow measurement and/or charts for completeness and accuracy and resolves discrepancies
· Utilizes and is knowledgeable of where to get information and resolve issues using the internal and external resources required with minimal guidance.
· Possesses a strong working knowledge of Natural Gas industry or energy industry (Gained through a degree or extensive work experience).
· College or Technical School Degree required (or 8+ years of experience in lieu of degree and HS or GED at a minimum)
· Strong analytical and problem solving skills
· MS Word and Excel experience required
· Good math skills
· Ability to successfully plan, execute, and complete various projects with minimal or no guidance. Has an solid understanding of the underlying business rules and practices associated with natural gas measurement
· Familiarity with tariffs, measurement agreements, and contracts
