The Sr. Member of Technical Staff develops solutions to complex business and technical problems or issues of complex scope using advanced engineering and scientific principles. Entry into this title requires Technical Title Plan (TTP) Board Approval A Ph.D. in an approved field from an accredited university, or a Master's degree in an approved field from an accredited university and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor's degree in an approved field from an accredited university and a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience 2 years minimum development Experience in Web UI technologies, such as HTML/XHTML, HTML 5, ActionScript, Java Applets, Javascript, AJAX, CSS. 2 years minimum experience developing on iOS, Android, Windows Phone 7, or Blackberry QNX devices. Good understanding of Object Oriented Design and design patterns. Good understanding of network/web protocols, such as TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPS, XML, etc. Effective communication and documentation skills. Desired Qualifications: Development experience in Java and J2EE. Development experience with EJBs, servlets, JSPs, Custom Tags, JSTL, etc. Working knowledge of Linux (Fedora Core/RedHat). Knowledge and experience in Database concepts and development technologies (SQL, JDBC, stored procedures, etc.) Experience in image/video streaming/processing. Experience developing with J2ME. Experience with Apache, JBoss, or Oracle. C++, C#, Activex, ASP, and .Net experience. Experience with UVerse application development (Mediaroom Presentation Framework). Technical leader and recognized expert on select ATT technologies/systems/procedures. o ANALYSIS/PROBLEM SOLVING - Solves unique problems through evaluative judgment/precedent. Independently applies sophisticated analysis in evaluating issues. Develops new concepts/methods/techniques for cross-functional initiatives. Recognizes/pursues alternative methods. o INDEPENDENCE - Guided by department goals/objectives. Exercises latitude in determining objectives/approaches to projects. Leads multiple small to medium sized projects and technical breadth. o CONTRIBUTION TO ATT TECHNOLOGY - Key contributor on complex projects/initiatives.
