When you join the Business Defense Space Program group, you are joining the Team in the Business Development Strategy organization working to winn new air and missile defense business.

Senior business development leader responsible for domestic and international customers pursuing Missile Defense (MD) solutions.  Responsible for business activities as they pertain to the Administration's (and Missile Defense Agency's) Phased Adaptive Approach, as well as emerging interoperability with IAMD (Patriot, SLAMRAAM, Hawk, JLENS, MD capabilities).  Serve as a subject matter expert for domestic customer MD resources, requirements, acquisition strategies and international FMS or DCS MD opportunities.  Develop, identify and assess new business opportunities, and assign new business resources to achieve $4B+ annual revenue generation and growth objectives.  Interact with USG and international customers to identify, qualify, shape and deliver Business Development (BD) products to the business in support of the WIN process. Build improved customer intimacy with MD and IAMD customers, providing a frequent and consistent message.  Work across all IBTs/CBTs as required ensuring affordable integrated solutions for air and missile defense solutions to all domestic and international customers.  Provide direction and support with regard to formulation, implementation and management of discretionary resources.  Be a prudent steward of company resources.  Serve as the subject matter expert on wining new air and missile defense business.  Understand the customer, the weapon systems and the competition.  Understand the customer's procurement process, funding capabilities, priorities and requirements.  Plan, coordinate and execute a prioritized synchronization strategy that focuses on closing pursuits that impact the current AOP followed by 5 - year plan projections.  Respond quickly and effectively to all customer requests for information and prioritize follow on level of effort.  Coordinate and manage NBI, capture/proposal gate reviews, program performance reviews, technical briefings and customer visits.  Report directly to the Missile Defense and Space BD director, and as required to associated IBT and CBT VPs.  Lead by example and provide professional leadership to members of the BD team and Raytheon/IDS.  Position can be located in Woburn, M.

Basic Qualifications(required):

  • Bachelors Degree, 12 + years Domestic and International military or business experience/expertise 
  • Operational experience in joint/coalition ballistic missile defense, integrated air and missile defense
  • Knowledge of DoD requirements, resources and acquisition process
  • Knowledge of US acquisition process, to include FMS or DCS

Desired Qualifications: 

  • MBA
  • Ability to travel internationally
  • Capture Experience
  • Understanding of Raytheon ballistic missile defense, air and missile defense systems and capabilities
  • Familiarity with the IPDS process, NBI process and international strategic assessment
  • Understanding of radar technology, communications technology via Link-16 and other means, active/semi active  interceptor  technology 
  • Understanding of Network Centric Operations Concepts
  • Operational understanding of Combatant Commanders
