Sr. Mortgage Banking Officer recruitment

 Develop strong working relationship with Wealth Management colleagues and major intermediary channels for the purpose of generating clients.  Generate new leads and referrals from existing WM colleagues, intermediaries and clients.  Identify and develop new territories within the specific geographic constraints of the regional office, or expand penetration within defined territory.  Oversee daily pipeline activity with account executive to ensure timely processing and credit decisioning of all client requests.  Act as quarterback on all requests in conjunction with account executive to monitor progress of all transactions with credit, appraisal and closing functions.  Responsible for effectively cross-selling banking and wealth management products.  Manage and develop assigned account executive.  Minimize organization costs per unit per thousand via scrutiny of inquiries and controlling processing costs. 

Qualifications

The qualified candidate must have a thorough knowledge of the mortgage business (4-8 years) along with 3-5 years mortgage sales experience. In addition to proven track record of closed sales experience, must also have customer relationship experience. Must have familiarity in dealing with complex credit structures and an affluent client base.  Must have highly developed credit analysis skills, including completion of a formal credit and sales training program preferred. Preferred rotation of 1-3 years commercial underwriting skills, statement analysis and complicated tax return analysis including partnerships and entrepreneurs. Must be familiar with Fannie Mae guidelines and real estate laws in states in which we do business. Must have developed a knowledge of the financial marketplace including understanding of securities in order to deal with financially astute individuals and complex credits due to size of product. Must develop an extensive knowledge of not only our mortgage platform but also our product mix and other wealth management capabilities.
