NOC/Telecommunications Engineer - Experis is seeking a NOC/Telecommunications Engineer for a project in Irvine with a Telecom company
The NOC/Telecommunications Engineer will be responsible for the following:
Position is typically at 24/7 business operation. Incumbent may be required to work off shifts (i.e. 2nd, 3rd, shift including weekend day as normal workday),
2 (2) years experience with Aspect Spectrum Version 8 or higher
Certification in Aspect Hardware administration
Working knowledge of CISCO ICM routing processes and system components
Working knowledge of IEX, Witness (Verint), Crystal/Business Objects reports and Aspect CTI
Working knowledge of Avaya and Aspect auto-dialers
Working knowledge of database management and support processes
Working knowledge of statistical reporting processes for system and service metrics
Performs medium/small size technical tasks with moderate level of complexity. Problem resolution and designing is required.
Technical aptitude, including ability to understand detailed technical information
Can demonstrate ability to analyze problems, develop solutions and make decisions that impact technical assignments.
Good verbal and written communication skills
Bachelor degree in Computer Science/Information Systems
6 years of information systems experience; or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
Excellent technical (e.g., systems design) and/or analytical skills
Excellent knowledge of networking (e.g., LAN/WAN) and/or computer (e.g., micro, mainframe) operations
PC and desktop applications competency (e.g., Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, e-mail, etc.)
Working knowledge of project management concepts
Excellent business knowledge
In-depth knowledge of information systems concepts
In-depth knowledge of applicable methodologies, tools, standards, and procedures
CCNA desirable CCNP preferred.
Proficient in Netscreen and Checkpoint Firewalls.
Understanding/knowledge of security principals.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with careful attention to: A. Step-by-step documentation of the issue, root cause, and resolution steps. B. Continual communication to management of trouble resolution steps and issue resolution progress. C. Thorough follow-up and summary on closed issues. Initiative to follow-through on issues; following an issue until completely resolved.

Bachelor degree in Computer Science/Information Systems and 3 to 5 years of information systems experience; or an equivalent combination of education and work experience. Demonstrated network experience through applicable certificate programs CCNA required CCNP preferred. Excellent technical and analytical skills, backed with years of experience in all levels of business interaction. Strong business knowledge. Excellent knowledge of networks and service (e.g., LAN/WAN//DNS/VPN/ with strengths in Cisco components Firewalls/IDS/Sniffer/Appvantage/Netvantage).
Excellent understanding/knowledge of security principals
Excellent understanding/knowledge of Content Data Networking principals PC and desktop applications competency (e.g., Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, email, etc.) Excellent interpersonal skills. Strong Decision-making and leadership abilities. Excellent organizational and problem solving abilities and ability to handle multiple tasks.
