Sr. Principal IT Project Manager
Job Responsibilities:
Serve as a Project Manager on the Information Systems Program Management Office Team. This position will lead, plan, resource, and execute individual IS projects. Implementation teams will be comprised of internal personnel and subcontractor personnel. This position is responsible for delivery of solutions that fulfill the business objectives including cost, schedule, and quality of the installed solution. Define and organize project work into Integrated Master Schedules using MS Project. Work closely with the Information Technology Service Provider to estimate project costs. Define and maintain project budgets. Work closely with IS Program Management Business Analysts and internal customers to define project requirements. Coordinate project testing and training activities. Facilitate project staffing and ensure project team acceptance of approach and work plan. Facilitate schedule changes to meet project objectives for delivery and cost. Work to departmental goals and objectives for project schedule, budget and customer satisfaction.
Required Education:
Bachelor's degree in Information Systems Management, Computer Science or other related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required Work Experience:
10 or more years of related information technology management experience.Proven experience leading IT system implementations.Proven experience working with a defined project lifecycle process and systems implementation methodology.Proven experience facilitating on-site and virtual meetings and workshops.Experience managing third party contractors.Experience leading cross functional, virtual and matrixed project teams.
Other Desirable Requirements:
PMP certification preferred.
ITIL certification preferred
