Job Description:

Work as part of a multifunctional team in the general area of precision mechanical processing of semiconductor materials.   The candidate will be responsible for process health (yield, throughput), review and maintain statistical process control (SPC), generate work instructions and train operators as well as new process development.

 

Required Skills:

  • Minimum 4 years of professional engineering experience.

  •  
  • Strong background in precision engineering principles, such as ultra-precision machining, metrology, uncertainty analysis and error budgeting, calibration/error compensation, precision controls and actuators/sensors.

  • Knowledge of basic engineering principles, theories, and concepts Familiarity with a cleanroom work environment (Class 100) Good mechanical aptitude and/or chemical handling ability

  • Excellent computer literacy (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

  • Effective communication and technical writing skills

  • Knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC)and Design of Experiments (DOE/ANOVA) 

     

    Desired Skills:

  • Hands-on experience with ultra-precision machining such as diamond turning, milling, or fly cutting

  • Knowledge of G M machine code, visual basic, and/or other programming languages

  • Established experience developing error budgets and performing uncertainty analysis of measurement systems and precision assemblies

  • Familiarity with machine control systems

  • Understanding of basic semiconductor physics Familiarity with various microscopes and inspection techniques 

     

    Required Education(including Major):

    Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Mathematics, or Science

    Masters Degree in Engineering, Mathematics, or Science preferred
