Job Description
The Business and Client Pratices organization ensures the effective delivery of our internal and external product and service offering; plan implementation; and the development of efficient processes, controls and communication to support and promote the growth of our business. The Sr. Product Delivery Consultant will support the overarching goals which include, but are not limited to the following:
- Transition Management: Work with client and internal teams to develop solutions from the sale to the final deployment of an implemenation/transition. Ensure effective, controlled tested internal delivery of products and services to the organization. Delivery changes might include new or enhanced products and services as well as those related to the closure of products, features, provisions or tools.
- Standard Delivery Processes: Facilitate the continuous improvement of standard controlled processes for clients and internal products and service implementations.
- The Senior Product Delivery Consultant works with internal and external business partners on the implementation of business plans and strategies and is responsible for structuring interaction, communication, processes, and activities .
- Clearly conveys information and ideas in a manner that engages the audience and helps them understand and retain the information.
- Responsive and accountable: Uncovers, communicates and answers questions concerning factual information accurately. Utilizes appropriate verbal and written communication techniques in a professional manner and actively listens.
- Seasoned and experienced transition management professional seen as emerging technical authority.
- Leads the highest priority, complex and/or sensitive plans or assignments.
- Technical expert, expert knowledge of financial services and products including the features/benefits of TIAA-CREF products and services, and on TIAA-CREF's standard offer by market segment but specializing the in the K-14 markets.
- Develops plans, action steps, and timetables for projects/assignments.
- Evaluates and implements new initiatives process/workflow improvements and program/policy changes.
- Works with management and Sales in coordinating business area activities or acts as the lead expert in the group.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree required. MBA preferred.
- Requires expert knowledge of financial markets, and TIAA products, and services.
- At least 7-10 years of institutional/individual relationship management, financial sales or financial services customer service experience. K-14 and governmental market experise is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills
- Strong presentation skills are a must.
- Must be profiencent in the RFP process and have the ability to partner with Sales during the the RFP process.
- Expert conflict resolution skills to maintain strong relationships.Communication is responsive to internal and external clients and proactively anticipates requests resulting in strong relationships.
- Expert ability to partner with the Managing Consultant.
- Strong project management skills and an understanding of process excellence.
- Ability to work independently and with internal business partners
- Excellent communication skills (both written and oral)
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Required basic ability at identifying appropriate sales/business opportunities with effective probing techniques.
- Advanced time management skills
- Technical proficiency in a variety of software programs, including the Microsoft Office Suite required
- Ability to motivate others across the organization.
- Typically responsible for more complex/sensitive relationships.
- Requires NASD Series 7 and 63 registrations. (Required licensing within 6 months after the hire date.)
- Requires resident state insurance license, and non-resident licenses for all states
- Must comply with all regulatory requirements and remain in good standing with regulatory agencies.
- Encouraged to work toward additional industry certifications and designations (CEBS, etc.).
- PMP certification desired.
