Description
The responsibilities of the Asset Management Sr Product Manager are for the development and implementation of product strategy across various asset management product types (MF, SMA, Alternatives, etc) in order to further client growth and retention. The incumbent will proactively research and report to senior management with the necessary information to best leverage market opportunities and make strategic business decisions. The individual should act as a product advocate , both internally and externally with the objective of increasing penetration of Dreyfus products across various market segments. Responsibilities include communicating proper product positioning, structural changes and strategy updates as well as developing consensus across the firm on implementing product and account plans.
Qualifications
The qualified candidate will possess a BS/BA or MBA degree and equivalent work experience. Must have a minimum of 10 years of related Financial Product experience. S/He will have strong analytical skills. S/He will be strategic thinker. The ability to identify and interpret marketplace trends is required. Excellent interpersonal skills are necessary to accomplish goals through others, including peers and other function/business areas of the Corporation. S/He must have the demonstrated ability to lead ad hoc and structured teams in successful achievement of goals within established time parameters. S/He will have excellent verbal/written communication skills. The ability to build networks and business partnerships is required. S/He will be results-oriented. Experience in Alternatives is a plus.
