Sr. Product Manager

- Lead and manage all Product Management initiatives for the Commercial Business Unit (CBU)
- Develop and execute strategies and initiatives to achieve net sales goals by 2015 while maintaining current margins and establishing key points of difference that can be leveraged in the marketplace
- Develop and maintain all aspects of the CBU three-year product plan
- Responsible for quarterly product line analysis of sales and profitability with corresponding strategic recommendations for improvement
- Act as lead to provide direction on product development initiatives- leading a cross-functional team including Sales, Finance, New Product Development, Quality, Reliability, Industrial Design, and Sourcing
- Lead definition and scoping of new product development projects
- Manage all stages of Tollgate process from a marketing perspective
- Define margin and cost targets with a goal towards maintaining current platform margins
- Work closely with Marketing Communications and Global Brand Development teams to establish commercialization priorities and needs to support new product launches
- Product life cycle management: cull the line of underperforming products, prioritize margin improvement initiatives and collaborate with Modular Engineering on cost reduction efforts
- CBU product expert: thorough understanding of our product line, the product lines of major competitors in each of the relevant categories, strengths and weaknesses of each, and strategies that enable us to win
- Collaborate with sales to build compelling product presentations and commercialization plans
- Annual pricing analysis considering competitive set and category margin trends leading to recommendations for the commercial product line
- BS degree plus 6-7 years product management or equivalent experience. MBA a plus.
- Commercial plumbing products and healthcare and/or educational facility management experience a plus, but not required.
- Strong technical aptitude
- Strong analytical skills essential for market and competitive evaluation, pricing and line management
- Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
- Team player with good interpersonal skills to lead/coach cross-functional teams.
- Advanced computer skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, SAP)
- Travel 15%.
