As a Portfolio Manager within ECO's Detego Business Intelligence team, you will work with an experienced, technical, global team of Portfolio Program Managers, Developers Testers, Architects, and Service Operations Engineers to deliver outstanding BI capabilities and solutions across the Customer Service and Support organization. This senior individual contributor role with high leadership capacity will act as Product Owner to transform business strategy and initiatives into technical execution and delivery. Responsibilities: Build, manage, and own a broad vertical portfolio within the Detego BI solution portfolio. Own the internal business customer relationships for your vertical portfolio. Represent Detego as a trusted partner to the business, acting as a consultant and helping them understand options and opportunities. Champion your customers needs to the Detego team. Work closely with your customers across multiple personas, from stakeholder to end user, to translate articulated and unarticulated needs into insightful user scenarios that will inform solution design. Develop a deep understanding of the data, metrics, and Detego BI solutions used by your business customers. Work with stakeholders to understand business rhythm, priorities, goals, roadmaps, and drivers for success. Manage your portfolio to maximize efficiency and ROI within budget. Identify the highest value projects. Identify opportunities for consolidating and/or deprecating applications. Prioritize deliverables. Develop success criteria with stakeholders. Engage users at each milestone to ensure success criteria are met. Leverage user feedback to inform subsequent planning. Manage change. Manage communication effectively across business, technical, and executive audiences. Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path across your portfolio. Partner closely with Technical Program Managers. Proactively identify and manage potential project risks, devise contingency plans, and work with the Technical PMs to mitigate those risks as appropriate. Address issues escalated by Technical PMs as appropriate, and escalate issues to the Detego Program Manager Lead as appropriate. As a senior Individual Contributor, provide leadership to the Portfolio Manager team. Drive continuous improvements in processes and tools used to manage the Detego BI portfolio. Qualifications: Full SDLC Project/Program Management experience (Agile/SCRUM desirable) Able to decompose broad scenarios into crisp user stories Experience with Dimensional Modeling, OLAP, and MS SQL Server (SSIS, SSAS, and SSRS desirable) Experience with Master Data Management highly desirable Experience with Web Analytics, Data Mining, or Predictive Analytics a plus Strong analytical problem solving skills Demonstrated capability to generate new ideas and innovate Passionate about driving continuous improvements in product quality and customer satisfaction Exceptional cross-group/cross-organization collaboration and communication skills. Able to lead and motivate matrixed teams via influence gained by building trust. Demonstrated ability to think strategically, plan proactively, follow through, and drive results Ability to thrive and drive in a highly dynamic, often ambiguous environment, with a flexible can-do attitude 5+ years of hands on experience developing scalable business intelligence solutions 5+ years of experience delivering high-quality business intelligence solutions on time and within budget in a Portfolio Manager, Product Manager, Program Manager, or Engineering Manager role Bachelor's Degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent experience SS:CS ECOJOBS
