THE JOB OF: Senior Programmer Analyst (Telephone Technologies)
IS OPEN IN: IT/Application Systems/Telephony Systems
NATURE OF WORK:
To provide Information Technology support and solutions for all application systems and for all areas of the Commission. The Sr. Programmer Analyst serves as a company wide resource for projects requiring structured system methodologies and information technology.
BASIC JOB DUTIES:
As a Sr. Programmer Analyst, you will be responsible for the following:
· Provide administration and support of the Siemens call center line of products and IVR systems
· Configuring, installing, and maintaining Siemens telecom products and solutions
· Perform software development duties as part of a team, including:
o Analysis and Specifications
o Application Design
o Code Development
o Unit and Integration Testing of Code
· Support System and Client Acceptance Test Efforts
· Work with other team members to understand technical requirements and identify and resolve issues and risks.
· Provide technical guidance to junior developers.
· Provide second tier on call support
· Contact software vendors to resolve problems with their software products and apply software patches
· Evaluate and recommend design and development technology alternatives
Second tier support includes troubleshooting issues related to back-office systems, interfaces and integration middleware. Responsible for developing a programmatic solution, testing the solution for accuracy with defined test plan and completion of recommended specification for system changes, and problem correction.
Projects include the development and implementation of automated systems, back-office systems, and integration middleware and web development. Install and maintain software packages purchased by OUC. Responsible for developing programmatic solution, testing solution for accuracy with defined test plan, coordinate the implementation and completion of recommended specification for all new systems, system changes, and problem correction.
REQUIREMENTS:
· B.S. in Computer Science or related field.
· Minimum seven (7) years software development experience (in multiple environments) employing formal software development methodologies.
· 3+ Years of Siemens experience and call center operations is required, certification a plus.
· 3+ Years of production experience with VoIP is preferred
· 3+ Years of production experience with Microsoft IIS and Apache Tomcat
· 3+ Years of Windows Server 2003 or greater
· 3+ Years of Linux server administration experience (SUSE Linux Enterprise Server preferred)
· 3+ Years of VXML application development experience (Genesys application development preferred)
· 3+ Years of Nuance speech recognition software experience
· Requires extensive knowledge of Siemens call center operations, associated switch/equipment programming and Genesys IVR systems
· Requires extensive knowledge of VoIP and unified communications
· Requires working knowledge of IP networking, VoIP, PRI, trunk signaling protocols, trunk and port programming, call routing, etc.
· Requires working knowledge of the technical design, installation and configuration of network and Siemens telecom equipment
· Experience working with ACD agents.
· Experience with network architectures, relational databases (ORACLE, INFORMIX, and SQL SERVER 2K or later) and client/server environment (HP Unix and MS Windows 2k or later) is required.
· Ability to create logical and physical data models and design user interfaces.
· Working knowledge of these other specific development languages is desired but not required: PL/SQL, C++, Visual Basic, PowerBuilder, Microsoft .NET framework, XML, XSL, ASP, Java, Java script and shell scripting.
· Good written and oral communication skills; ability to make presentation to both technical and non-technical audiences
· Working knowledge of quality assurance methodologies
· Ability to work independently and as a team player.
· Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines.
PAY GRADE: E19 Min. $65,000 – Mid. $85,000 – Max. $110,500 annually
NORMAL WORKING HOURS: Monday - Friday; 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.
