BPA Group Manager (Senior Project Director)
The Business Information Management Office is being established to build, implement and manage data assets and reference data that enable our customers to make sound, consistent, information-based decisions and support a straight through process model for CitiMortgage. As a member of this team, this position will work in partnership with the Data Governance Council, Data Stewards and business owners to ensure our customers have timely access to high quality data. These core competencies will be delivered through logical master data management, continuous data improvements, smart applications deployment and enterprise-wide data solutions. The candidate for the position will lead in identification and justification of strategic initiatives, as project management on cross-functional strategic initiatives and perform as a subject matter expert to help customers effectively manage, integrate and distribute data to support their business.
This senior level project director is responsible for managing all aspects of projects related to the development of the Customer reference data. This individual must have demonstrated ability to lead and manage across business disciplines in a matrix organization. Candidate must have prior success providing status, seeking approvals, and influencing using various communication methods including presentations, written and verbal. This role will have accountability for project/programs including scope, schedule, audit and financials.
Candidate is responsible for advancing the Customer Concept within our Data Management Strategy by identifying business initiatives that compliment or further our strategy goals and encourage collaboration and shared responsibility in data management capabilities projections.
- The candidate will be required to work with business partners and technology teams as a project manager developing solutions and deployment strategies on various data and tool initiatives.
- Responsible for directing several large moderately to highly complex cross functional projects with major business impacts.
- Develops detailed work plans, schedules; project estimates, resource plans and status reports. Oversees scoping and provides strategic direction for key projects. Monitors and manages execution of project plans and resources to plan.
- Analyzes large and/or complex timelines for progress to assess feasibility of on time delivery. Engages resources and management to address gaps. Identifies and drives decisions for initiatives within the business unit.
- Understands the business/system impacts from business decisions and initiatives. Single point of contact for all delivery related issues (change management, event management, etc.). Transitions to Operations, after implementation and testing successful. Conducts periodic meetings to review performance, status, milestones and issues/risks. Reviews with business and obtains acceptance of deliverables.
- The candidate will own building out data concepts (e.g. Customer data), driving the organization toward a complete enterprise data model.
- Must be a leader in working with business partners, writing business requirements, communicating plans and design requirements, negotiate timelines, and influence participation from SMEs.
- Collaborate in the building of the CMI Business Data Layer and a set of processes and tools that consistently defines and manages the non-transactional data entities or reference data.
- Candidate will have active role in the development of policies, process, and procedures across all Data Management activities.
Skills
Experience/Education:
- BS/BA degree or equivalent combination of education/experience.
- Minimum five (5) years of experience in a technology focused project management and/or technical environment.
- Minimum twelve (12) years of management experience
- Must be familiar with data concepts: MDM, reference data, and most aspects of data warehousing or data moving tools.

- Demonstrated Project Management (prior implementation experience in a complex, high tech environment). Solid project management skills, effectively managing multiple small to large projects in a cross-functional environment.
