The Sr. Project Manager - Systems is responsible for assisting in developing data processing procedures and plans, managing program development for the automated warehouse and scheduling operational activities for DEC VAX, IBM AS400 and Server computer systems. Each of these systems is an independent, distributed processing function for which the plant has total responsibility regarding operation, hardware maintenance and program development.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Manages the planning and progress of this total area of responsibility is vital to assure that strategic decisions are in concert with long range goals.
  2. Manages the installation and maintenance of the associated system hardware as well as end user PC software and hardware support.
  3. Oversees the operations of several other plants AS400 computers located in Rocky Mount.
  4. Manages the data and voice communications systems, including the ethernet network, remote site communications, telephone system and voice mail system.

• BS/BA degree in Business or related degree with emphasis in computer science. Masters degree preferred.
• 3 years demonstrated ability to supervise employees and to effectively interface with various levels of management.
• 3 years experience in systems analysis and design.
• 3 years experience in a programming function.
• 4 years experience with IBM AS/400, DEC VAX and Server hardware.
