Senior Project Manager of Patient Financial Services National Revenue Cycle Office Aurora, CO - Pasadena or Oakland, CA - Portland, OR - Atlanta, GA - Parma, OH - Rockville, MD The Senior Project Manager of Patient Financial Services will be a member of the National Revenue Cycle Office supporting the Regions Outside of California. This individual will focus on creating Patient Financial Services governance across and within the ROC Regions. This individual will identify and assist the Regions in best practice solution design, identify opportunities for shared service, and drive consistency efficiency and economies. This individual will assist with the development of a future state ROC Revenue Cycle Program that will evolve and mature from current operations and structure. Primary Responsibilities: - Support local Patient Financial Services leaders operationally - Evaluate back office billing and collection services across regions for optimization and best practice identification and implementation - Drive national PFS ROC revenue cycle initiatives in collaboration with local leadership - Collaborate with local and national leadership to drive the development of Patient Financial Services KPI's, monitoring and reporting mechanisms across the regions - Establish and drive recurring ROC Patient Financial Services Council - Collaborates w/ Scheduling, Revenue Cycle, Medical Operation, Physician, Insurance Systems, HealthConnect (Epic System) leaders to optimize KP's success by providing accurate administrative services to our members. - Responsible for revenue optimization through improved collection of patient and insurance receivables. Responsible for the identification and implementation of PFS automation activities including, charity care programs, vendor placement strategies, and credit balance remediation. - Ensures required regulatory forms, information statistics are provided to accrediting agencies (i.e., CMS, HCQA, HEDIS, SOX); advises seeks to influence decisions affecting the organization through interfacing with PFS, Claims, Government Programs, Risk Management, Sales Marketing, IT others. - Builds cooperative relationships w/ ROC Regional Leaders and key stakeholders Broad application of Revenue Cycle principles, theories, and concepts in all areas Hospital and Professional billing, collection and insurance follow up activities. Uses professional concepts in accordance with company objectives to solve complex problems in creative and effective ways . Directs the analysis of enterprise-wide or very complex client needs in project areas such as new/existing business operating models, innovative approaches to solutions support, market research of emerging or available product functionality and operational readiness assessment. Qualifications: -7 years of consulting and/or project management experience, preferablyin Patient Financial Services related disciplines. - Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Health Care Operations or relatedfield. - Excellent communication skills: verbal and written. - Knowledge of managed care, indemnity insurance, alternative funding, state, and federal regulations required. Preferred Qualifications: - Master's preferred.
