Position Summary
The purpose of this role is to plan field service execution activities using standard Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), planning models, and standard costs in collaboration with Operations Management and Technical Field Advisors.
Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities
• Plan and schedule (quantity, time and cost) all (contractual, term and transactional) field service activities in Navision. This planning scope will include, but is not limited to, labor, materials, third party services, tooling and freight.
• Define and leverage standard WBS and planning models for the purpose of long term planning, short term operations planning and daily execution management.
• Create and maintain a long term labor and capacity forecast aligned to the SOP demand and the realization of actual job orders.
• Establish, maintain and formally control all Field service activity standards.
• Interface with internal customers to identify FSO demand signal and disseminate information to all Project Managers.
• Interface with internal customers and end-customers as required to have an agreed and committed execution plan.
• Measure actual cost and schedule performance against standards and estimates, and provide variance analysis.
Dimensions/Scope
• FSO locations across the East or West Region which has approximately 100+ employees.
• Up to 100+ contract employees at any given time depending on the FSO projects and outages.
• Scheduled and unplanned Field Service projects in area of responsibility
Performance Measures
• Delivery Accurate capacity plan matching demand signal and work scope to actual business location capacity
• Responsiveness - Ability to respond to emergency situations/requirements outside normal business hours.
• Cost Ensure all project costs are scheduled and aligned to field service execution activities
Principal Working Relationships
• Reports to Operation Manager
• Interface with FSO Product Manager for current Demand Signal
• Interface with local Commercial Operations Management for contract hand-over.
• Interface and daily communication with Project Managers, Estimator Manager and Resource Manager.
Requirements:
Qualifications
• The incumbent should have extensive commercial contract experience in either an engineering or operations background.
• The incumbent should have proven track record in leading a team to deliver projects on time and within budget.
• College / University degree preferred.
• Excellent analytical ability.
• Experience in Field Service Operations of gas and steam turbine outages.
• Expert ability in Project planning, resource scheduling and management.
• Expert in Project Management software and ability to learn and adapt planning to Navision.
• Strong computer skills, including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook Project.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively at all levels with an organization.
