Job Description:
The primary function of a Senior Quality Analyst is to understand the technology solutions being developed for the business users and to ensure quality of the solutions through manual and automated testing methods at the conclusion of development lifecycles. Key responsibilities include understanding design documentation, seek appropriate clarification on design details from clients, design, write and execute test cases, report defects and coordinate with clients to get these defects resolved. The Sr. level professional is also expected to apply subject matter and application expertise to lead multiple projects simultaneously to production, delivering each product with high quality, in addition to mentoring other junior level analysts.

Document business process flows and develop test plans based on the requirements. Therefore must understand and translates the clients business requirements into test cases.

Design, write, and executes tests in a client/server and/or web-based solution environment to ensure quality of product deliver is maintained.

Performs regression, performance, usability and functional testing. Report defects and drive the resolution of the same by coordinating with the development team and the users.

Writes clear and concise defect reports, escalating to the appropriate person/area, as needed.

Verifies functional specifications for accuracy and completeness.

Assists development in problem/issue resolution.

Performs business analyst functions, as needed.

Requirements:

Four-year college degree in Computer Science or Information Systems, or equivalent experience.

5 to 7 years in a Quality Assurance or Testing role. Master's degree plus 3 years experience will be accepted.

Strong working experience in SQL and Visual Basic; Demonstrated ability with advanced automation tools such as QTP and Load Runner; Knowledge of Quality Assurance industry standards and methodology; Knowledge of software development life cycles and automated testing tools required; Excellent written and verbal communication skills; Strong problem solving skills; Strong attention to detail required.

CSTE or CSQA preferred.
