Sr Quality Assurance Eng II
Provide Quality Engineering support to the SM-6 program. Apply contractual requirements and Quality practices, in accordance with directive documentation, to assure program performance meets customer and company objectives for performance and delivery. Be responsible for process improvements (internal and external) involving the creation and application of new and/or existing process improvement tools and methods. Actively support engineering development and production activities including Build Readiness Reviews, Consent-to-Ship meetings or similar events, Test Readiness Reviews; and ensure QHR integrity. Serve as a point of contact for internal and external customers on program-related issues regarding product compliance/performance and associated test plans and objectives. Participate in design reviews and provide support to the KPC identification and management process. Assist in risk management assessments and implementation of associated mitigations plans. Participate in Material Review Board, Failure Review Board, Product/Process Verification audits, and quality metrics activities as required. Required Skills: Solid background and experience in quality, engineering, CAB and MRB related disciplines and processes. Minimum 6 years of experience Demonstrated ability to identify problem root cause and initiate/implement effective corrective actions (CACtIS) Ability to exercise sound judgment and apply decision-making skills with minimal supervisory intervention. Demonstrated ability to lead change management through the use of process improvement tools including Design for Six ; failure modes effects analysis (FMEA); statistical process control (SPC); and design of experiments (DOE) Demonstrated proficiency at preparing and presenting information to upper management and customers Ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work well with customers, suppliers and in a team environment Computer proficiency and ability to use Microsoft Office tools Must have an existing Secret clearance and the ability to gain clearance access to 847 Factory Desired Skills: Experience in program life cycles from engineering design and development to production to field support disciplines. Ability to interpret and implement domestic and international contractual and regulatory requirements. Strong familiarity with ISO 9001 and AS9100 quality management systems. Experience in leading and/or supporting internal and Corporate audit activities for the program Six Sigma and ASQ Certifications a plus.
