Sr Quality Control Engineer

***** CONTINGENT UPON CONTRACT AWARD ***** Position: Sr Quality Control Engineer Location: Dallas, Texas Raytheon?s Technical Services Support Contract (T4) program provides the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) with services needed in support of improvements to the National Airspace System (NAS) infrastructure. Under this contract, Raytheon decommissions existing systems and equipment and installs new systems and equipment at FAA facilities across all FAA Service Areas (SAs) in the United States. T4 Performance Excellence (PE) is seeking a qualified candidate to become a member of our PE team. The Quality Engineer will provide quality oversight and guidance to all projects within the Service Area as well as overall program execution compliance. The ideal candidate would be a subject matter expert in construction engineering and quality assurance processes and procedures. The successful candidate will apply quality and construction expertise to ensure leading-edge solutions to improve the processes involved in decommissioning equipment and installing new equipment. The candidate will be required to work without day-to-day direction and will be required to travel from 40% to 60% of the time in the performance of audits at field sites. The successful candidate will also have direct contact and interface with the FAA Quality Assurance Representative (QAR) on all quality-related matters. Specific duties include: · Conducting audits and assessments of all projects within the Central Service Area (CSA) · Generating audit and assessment reports · Identifying best practices and procedures and transferring that knowledge to improve project efficiency and effectiveness across all CSA sites · Ensuring compliance with Raytheon policies and procedures, contract requirements, FAA Standards, and FAA Orders · Identifying value-added metrics, performing metric trend analysis, designing metric reports, and preparing audit summary material for management reviews · Identifying and documenting systemic performance issues, ensuring that root-cause analysis is conducted, implementing preventive and corrective action, and performing validation/verification of corrective action · Performing process audits and assessments of subcontractors · Participating in final acceptance of site work and in-process reviews at key milestone events during decommissioning and commissioning · Utilizing the Raytheon Corrective Action System (RCAS) for audit data recording, analysis, and reporting · Interacting with the RTN Site Project Engineer and the Site Installation Lead and FAA personnel at field facilities · Participating or leading Raytheon Six Sigma (R6S) projects as required Required Knowledge, Skills Experience: - At least 6 years working experience in quality assurance and/or construction project management. - Combination of quality assurance in the area of construction engineering. - Candidates must have experience or an understanding of FAA practices, processes, techniques, and standards in the areas of site surveys, construction, quality assurance, equipment decommissioning, and equipment commissioning. - Auditing experience in either commercial, military, or Government environments - Design of data gathering and analysis skills - Experience engaging with customer personnel - Understanding of FAA sites and operations - Working knowledge of, Lotus Notes, Microsoft Office, e-Rooms, and other collaborative and workflow tools Required Education: Bachelor degree in related field or combination of education and work experience.
