Sr. Quality Engineer

Sr. Quality Engineer needed for Tampa/ Orlando! Specific Job Description: The Senior Quality Engineer will work as an on-site technical-interface between Tektronix and a customer mainly in the customer?s Tampa facility, and will provide engineering and materials involvement and representation to the customer. The position will be responsible for the schedule and technical aspects of ?Space? level EEE sourcing and screening. This position will report to Tektronix management, but there will be ?dotted-line? reporting to the customer?s Program Manager. Skills Required: Must be a US Citizen. The successful candidate will have a proven track record and the experience and skills to manage schedule and technical aspects of ?Space? level EEE sourcing and related screening to include: Experience with large program project management from sourcing, to delivery of a BOM intended for a high reliability ?Space? end application. Experience with Data Package requirements for high reliability ?Space? requirements. Experience performing Data Package reviews for BOM items, resolves discrepancies with material suppliers/manufacturers. Experience with component applications for high reliability applications ? MIL-STD?s, MSFC documents, etc. Experience with Radiation level testing per MIL-STD-1019 (TID, ELDRS) as well as the testing requirements for DDD and SEE. Experience with MIL-STD?s /MIL-PRF?s relating to EEE materials, 38534, 38535, 19500, 123 etc. Experience with quality requirements of a BOM for a high reliability ?Space? end application. Experience ensuring entire program adheres to quality requirements specified in the contract. Experience reviewing products for quality conformance to contract specifications. Experience with the management of outside service companies providing support for outsourced screening activities. Experience with the International Traffic in Arms Regulation (ITAR). Hardware: Standard office hardware. Software: Microsoft Office standard software including Project required. TCM / Oracle / ERP-Baan desired. Educational Level: A BSEE or equivalent is required. Work Environment Considerations: Must be able to work 3 ? 4 days per week in Tampa, Florida at the customer site and 1 ? 2 days per week in the Tektronix offices in Orlando. Overtime will be required as business need necessitates. The ability to travel within the US to support program activities will be required. Range of Pay: $50/hr to $60/hr ? HEAVILY based on experience Contract Length: 12 months Only local candidates will be considered as no relocation or per diem is available.
