We are seeking a Quality Technician for our Groveport, OH facility.
The Quality Technician is responsible for coordinating and maintaining the customer product returns and complaint systems, including investigations and fostering continuous improvement through trend analysis of customer related issues. Communicate investigation findings to internal/External customers.
Principal Accountabilities:
- Inspect and document product quality returns.
- Create and maintain the required quality records in a manner that permits them to be preserved and readily retrievable. Records must be consistent, complete, accurate and neat.
- Communicate product return findings to appropriate departments.
- Perform random product audits to ensure compliance to quality requirements.
- Work with different departments to assist in problem solving and help improve processes.
- Determine whether returns are warranty or out of the box and communicate appropriately.
- Packaging and repackaging of product returns as needed.
- Maintain a good professional relationship with peers, lab personnel and Production counterparts.
- Ability to communicate effectively and as necessary with management.
- Demonstrate a proactive and preventive thought process
- Employ random sampling techniques during all normal inspections and understand proper sample size determination using sampling tables.
- Appreciation for the concept of satisfying the customer, both internal and external. Assist other functions in matters relating to the quality of materials and products as required
- Explicit attention to detail, and accuracy when performing duties, recording data and information.
- Other tasks as required.
JOB SPECIFIC ESSENTIALS:
- Capable of lifting 25 lbs and stand for long periods
- Computer literate in intermediate MS Office, MS Outlook and basic MRP network applications.
- Understanding and practical experience relative to the ISO-9000 Quality System requirements.
Basic Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 2 years of experience in the Quality profession (i.e. inspection).
- 1 year of MS office experience (excel)
- 6 months of warehouse experience.
Additional Qualifications:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Self motivated, minimal supervision.
- Ability to train others as required.
- Understanding of modern Quality concepts and application of the basic Quality tools.
- Ability to understand BOM structures and process routes.
