Position Description: • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with assigned business units to ensure results-oriented solutions to interim, short and long-term staffing needs; provide counsel to hiring managers and client groups on matters pertinent to hiring policies and procedures • Interview and evaluate prospective candidates for employment, ensuring candidate diversity in prospective hires • Makes recommendation for candidate selection and is an active participant with business partner in candidate selection process • Able to handle complex and/or sophisticated recruitment efforts, matter or projects independently • Identify new and develop existing relationships with external resources such as academic institutions, internet providers, professional and community based organizations, contingent and retained search firms and other corporations to source quality hires; market company to prospective applicants via forums and networking events • Oversee the employee referral and internal job posting programs and ensure ongoing effectiveness and communication of both programs • Assist with any related staffing and recruiting special projects • Complete, maintain and communicate a weekly open/filled report and database system • Evaluate, implement and communicate the application of selection tools and employment testing methodologies • Responsible for scanning the trends, environmental conditions and risk factors that impact Save-A-Lot’s recruiting positioning both in current and future state Qualifications/Skills: • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business or related field • Minimum of five (5) years direct full cycle recruiting experience • Demonstrates comprehensive understanding of recruitment and selection processes • Working knowledge of Human Resources practices such as compensation, benefits and employment law • Ability to research and source talent and conduct sophisticated recruitment activities and manage “indirect” reports • Excellent organizational and project management skills • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to communicate credibly and effectively with applicants, outside agencies, and all levels of the organization, including senior leadership • Strong collaborative skills along with the ability to be innovative and act as a change agent using strategic skills with an overall commitment to Save-A-Lot • Proficient with Microsoft Office products and Web based database systems • Able to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple projects and work within deadlines • Minimum 30% travel required
