Senior Reimbursement Specialist

Mercy Health System of Southeastern Pennsylvania currently has a full time
position open for a Sr. Reimbursement Specialist. This position is based at our
corporate office in Conshohocken, PA.

Responsibilities include:
Planning and coordination of all activities necessary to ensure the timely
filing of annual Medicare, Medical Assistance and Tricare cost reports
Assisting with the planning and coordination of cost report field audits or
desk reviews for applicable third party payors
Resolving proposed audit adjustments and final settlement of outstanding cost
reports
Collaborating with the Reimbursement Manager in analytical reviews of monthly
net revenue analysis and corresponding financial results
Completing monthly social accountability analysis to support the
Mission/Ministry department reporting for impact of government payors and
charity care
Assisting the Reimbursement Manager in the compilation and submission of
documentation to the Medicare Administrative Contractor regarding rate reviews
and settlements, appeals and reopening, etc
Preparing, compiling and completing all necessary documentation for the
enrollment of Medicaid out of state providers and any and all re-enrollments of
established providers
Ensuring that all tangent departments/personnel are updated on a timely basis
of any changes to rate components for Medicare, Medicaid and other applicable
third party payors

Qualified candidates will possess the following combination of education and
experience:
BS degree in accounting or finance
Minimum 5 years of health care finance experience or equivalent years of
hospital reimbursement experience
Advanced proficiency in Excel, Word and Medicare/Medicaid Cost Report software
Demonstrated organizational, communicative and analytical skills
