We are looking for a Senior Research Analyst to be part of this exciting Group.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Senior Research Analyst is expected to provide investment ideas for the different portfolios at FEG Europe. The Analyst will conduct thorough fundamental research on stocks across a number of sectors. This includes screening for new potential stock ideas, thorough analysis of financial statements and financial modelling as well as discussions with companies and independent experts to develop an independent view on the attractions of a potential investment. At several points in the research process ideas will be presented to and discussed with the other members of the PM/Research team. Finally, analysts have to do the ongoing maintenance research on names owned in the portfolio. Coverage will be broad. The candidate will be assigned coverage on certain sectors but he is expected to think and act as a generalist who is able to generate ideas and to do maintenance research across a range of different sectors and across the whole market cap spectrum. As FEG Europe manages a range of products including Core, Income and concentrated best idea strategies, analysts have to work with the different Portfolio Managers to come up with ideas suitable for the different styles.. Finally every team member is expected to contribute to the internal team discussions by providing insights and by challenging the other team members.

Skills

KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION, AND EXPERIENCE:
· Academic background or equivalent education
· Proven experience as an equity analyst (or Portfolio Manager)

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS:
· CFA would be desired but not essential

ADDITIONAL DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:
· a good command of the English language and strong verbal and written communication skills as well as the ability to display confidence when debating and discussing investment ideas within the team

· Strong fundamental investing skills, including both strategic analysis and financial and accounting fluency for model building
· Able to conduct primary research, such as company visits and discussions with industry competitors, etc.
