Description

Alcentra is a global asset management firm focussed on sub-investment grade corporate credit. Our team brings together a depth of knowledge in sub-investment grade corporate debt that covers the entire spectrum of investment possibilities – from Secured Loans and High Yield Bonds to Direct Lending Mezzanine, Distressed Debt and Special Situations to Structured Credit.

Extensive knowledge of sub-investment grade and alternate fixed income investment strategies and capitalmarkets. Prior investment experience preferred but not required. Ability to manage a multi-step, consultative sales process and explan and position complex investment products. Direct experience developing and marketing credit-focused mutual funds, and working with wholesalers and the financial advisor community. Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills, with an ability to explain sophisticated products and complex investment strategies. A self-starter who makes an immediate positive impression and credibly represents the intelligence, integrity, and quality of Alcentra's culture. An entrepreneurial and strategic thinker, who can also function as a team player within both Alcentra and Dreyfus.

Qualifications

The qualified candidate will have a Bachelor's or MBA, CFA degree. The qualified candidate should have a minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a financial services firm, in credit, product management, marketing or sales; 7-10 years experienced preferred. The incumbent must have excellent written and oral communication skills, comfortable on phone and in front of clients; strong organizational abilities and attention to detail; flexible team player, self starter, high integrity.
